Tecell’s CMS normalizes these differences by aligning timestamps and comparing key session attributes like vehicle ID, charger ID, and start/end times. This ensures that even if two chargers report the same session from different angles, the system recognizes them as duplicates and consolidates the data.
The system also uses machine learning models trained on historical session data to identify subtle patterns that indicate duplication. For example, if two sessions start within seconds of each other at nearby chargers, the system flags them for review. This helps avoid false positives while maintaining data integrity.
What this means for fleet operators
Fleet managers benefit directly from this feature because it eliminates billing discrepancies and ensures accurate usage tracking. When multiple chargers are used for the same vehicle, the system prevents overcharging or double-counting of sessions. This is especially important for large deployments where dozens of chargers may be in use simultaneously.
Operators can also rely on clean, consistent data for reporting and compliance. Duplicate data would otherwise skew metrics like total charging time or energy consumption, making it harder to optimize fleet operations or meet regulatory requirements.
